Colorado Right To Life Warning Against Proposition 115

Everything is backwards. Trump’s judicial nominees do not hold to the right to life of the unborn child yet “pro-life” leaders are giddy to support them. Colorado’s damned Proposition 115 will help to kill thousands more unborn children but those same giddy leaders lack both the wisdom to understand and even the humility to consider the matter. Everything mainstream pro-life leaders tell you about abortion, how we got it, and how to end it, is a lie. Roe v. Wade and the abortion it imposed on the nation is from Republican justices, not Democrat justices.

In 1973 Roe v. Wade was written by a Republican Supreme Court Justice, Harry Blackmun and the 7-to-2 opinion was approved with a five-vote Republican majority. The 1992 landmark Casey opinion upheld “abortion rights” though eight Republicans and a single pro-life Democrat (who dissented) comprised the court. In 2012 Republican Chief Justice John Roberts voted to uphold socialist, pro-abortion Obamacare. In 2017 Republican Gorsuch became the poster-child for the “pro-life” movement’s support for judges who reject the child’s God-given right to life. (See both him and, for that matter, Amy Coney Barrett, in video at AmericanRTL.org/republican-judicial-crisis.) And from 1973 to 2020 every Republican justice on the court has agreed with the Democrat Party’s platform and the central holding of Roe that the baby is not a person and has no right to life.

Now you are being asked to support Proposition 115 in the same season that our ever-wrong mainstream pro-life leaders are lobbying for confirmation of a Supreme Court Justice who agrees with the main holding of Roe v. Wade, as have Donald Trump’s 300+ federal judges, in rejecting the personhood and the God-given right to life of the unborn child. Proposition 115 is the latest in the nearly 50-year effort to regulate murder, that is, to legislate how, when and where you can “legally” kill the innocent. All regulation reauthorizes the behavior it addresses. Any law that ends with, “and then you can kill the baby” is a bad law. The campaign name doesn’t even obscure its wickedness. “Due Date Too Late”, that is, it’s now too late to kill the baby, educating the masses that the kids with other due dates are not too old to kill. Proposition 115 states you cannot kill children older than 22 weeks which inherently legitimizes (i.e., declares legally valid), reauthorizes, and reaffirms the killing of younger children. Our sister organization, American Right To Life, has documented the irrefutable ways that regulating murder, as Proposition 115 attempts to do, is immoral, backfires, and has backfired now for nearly a half century. (See AmericanRTL.org/regulations.) Decades of lost opportunity have passed while regulations have made the slaughter seem more palatable and more humane to the public, politicians, and judges, and pro-lifers have been unwittingly redirected to mending abortion rather than fighting to end abortion.
